Important:

1 km = 1000 m

1 hr = 3600 sec (1 hr = 60 min * 60 sec)

 

Problems on Train can be classified into four types,

Type 1:

Train with some length crossing a pole or man or tree (Object generally have less length more or less 0)

length = length of Train.

speed = speed of Train.

 

Type 2:

Train with some length crossing a platform or tunnel or bridge or cave (which has some length)

length = length of Train + length of Platform.

speed = speed of Train.

 

Type 3:

Two trains travelling in same direction. (With different length and speed)

length = length of Train 1 + length of Train 2.

speed = speed of fast Train - speed of slow Train.

 

Type 4:

Two trains travelling in opposite direction. (With different direction)

length = length of Train 1 + length of Train 2.

speed = speed of Train 1 + speed of Train 2.

 

Other Types:

Sometimes they may combine two or more above types like a man running at a speed in same direction (Type 1 + Type 3)
